Super Fun Influencer Photo Trends You Should Try Right Now

It’s pretty obvious social media usage has spiked from the large number of people sitting at home and creating content out of boredom and especially taking pictures. I’m not sure if I’m the only one who noticed, but there are a lot of super fun photo trends that influencers and celebrities have been doing that I think turn out super cool.

Here is a list of super easy and fun photo trends to try that are gaining a lot of popularity right now.

Outdoor Mirror Selfie

It’s so easy and looks so chic. Just go outside with a mirror, place it on an angle to get a nice background, and shoot.

I like this trend because it’s a cool mix of old fashioned and new tech. Laptop cameras are not as high quality, giving you that old feel, but the fact that it’s on a laptop makes it very ‘techy.’ Also, I find this one interesting because when studying fashion trends, people now are looking to make thing very futuristic but have a touch of old school classics, which is very similar to this photo trend.

Vogue Challenge

How could I not include this trend right? This trend was actually born out of the need for representation and the need for diversity in social spaces. Basically, it’s saying that everyone, can and should be represented. While I will most likely use photoshop for this challenge, for those of you who don’t know how or don’t want to pay for it (I just need it for school), I have a link to tutorial that shows you how to do it with the Canva app (yes it’s a free app and probably one of my favorites of all time).

3D Photo

These wiggle/3D photos are done with a specific camera called a stereoscopic camera that takes three photos at once and allows for that three shot view 3D view. Personally, I’m not going to buy that camera so i resorted to apps to find out how to achieve this look. While there are a bunch of apps that are free, most require payment to remove a watermark or are just not the quality I was looking for. I found that Dazz Camera had the best free option and was pretty fine with the result. In the photo section of the app click the camera called “D3D” and take your photo. Here is the result I got.

If you want a more professional look, it’s going to take a little bit of work but this video I found has the best step-by-step tutorial

Disposable Camera

Whatever was old is new again, even with photography. Everyone is looking to get low quality nostalgic photos back and even are repurchasing disposable cameras. There are a lot of apps out there that I have used to get that old look and I’ve downloaded and used a bunch of them, but I personally have 3 favorites.

  1. Dazz Cam
  2. Huji Film
  3. David’s Disposables

…Or just buy a disposable camera

Old Film

Nostalgia is kind of a theme these past few years. VHS looking videos and poor quality has been gaining momentum for some years now, so much so that Keeping Up With the Kardashians changed their intro video to feature this type of look.

Again, there are a lot of apps for this, but my personal favorite is the Dazz Camera. You can pick from different cameras for photos and videos such as VHS and 8mm.

I feel like maybe I have to say the Dazz Camera hasn’t paid me or anything (because I did mention it a lot) but I honestly just really like the app and the outcome of the pictures it takes.
