Is Tati Westbrook’s Blendiful Really Worth It?

The makeup industry is clearly a booming business and with that comes a lot of new products and just as much competition. So, when I heard Tati Beauty was launching makeup I rolled my eyes. However, not only did she release an eyeshadow palette, but a new beauty tool meant to revolutionize your beauty routine. The Blendiful (pretty cute name), is an egg shaped tool made of polyester fabric with fibers that stick out and blend your makeup. It’s very bendy, pretty soft, and has plenty of space.

Behold…

In the package you get both the blendiful and the baby blendiful for $18.00 and I believe shipping was about $2.75. A pretty good price in my opinion. The baby blendiful is made of the same material but is smaller, heart shaped and actually much more firm.

So when I put this to the test, I did half my face with a beauty sponge and the other half with the blendiful. I will admit, I was surprised that it was able to blend my foundation although the only clear difference is that the blendiful picks up powders incredibly. I found that my favorite way to use it is with a banana powder to completely erase my dark under eyes.

Overall, I can say with full confidence that there was no difference between both sides. I even asked multiple people to pick the better side and they couldn’t see a difference either. I thought, maybe it will make a difference over time, but again, it looked the same on both sides.

A major con I found with the blendiful is the cleaning process. Now I clean all my sponges and brushes the same way… I have a bar of soap and I just wet the bar and swirl my brushes and sponges on it. I did the same with the blendiful and it took a couple more tries to get it completely clean PLUS it takes time to dry. I tried using a blowdryer to dry it but it still took too long for me, especially if I was in a rush. Instead of blow drying it, I left it overnight to use again in the morning, but if you forget, then you’re out of luck.

To me, this is just another velour puff that you can use it with liquid products. If you have a puff already, you really don’t need this. If you don’t have one, this is a great option especially if you’re a powder person. Also, you get two, which is pretty nice for the price.

I really think all the hype from other beauty youtubers is based on the fact that they were amazed by the fact that it DID work. I’m not saying it doesn’t do its job, it just doesn’t add anything different or new to the tools I already have. It just isn’t a game changer.

For me, it’s just more comfortable for my hand to blend with a brush from all my years painting. Over some time I’ve resorted back to using my brushes and saved my blendiful for blending out foundation, powders, and occasionally concealer. To sum everything up, will I continue to use this? Yes (I’m not letting my money go to waste), but does it replace my beauty sponges and brushes? No. Would I buy it again? No
